Connecting an Astribank (with RPS)
This document details the steps that should be taken when connecting Astribank(s) to the telephony servers using a Xorcom redundant power supply.
1. Firstly connect the AC 220/110V power cords to the Power supply units PSU, this is shown in the picture below (red circles):
2. Connect the DC cables from the front panel of the Xorcom redundant power supply to the rear panel of the Astribank (shown in green below):
Step 2 will need to be performed for each Astribank that you will be connecting to the Redundant power supply.
3. Next we will be connecting the USB cables from the Astribanks to the rear of the telephony servers.
Locate the cable that has a USB A connector at one end, and a series B connector at the other end (shown in the photo below).
Once you have this, plug the series B (the square connector) to the rear of the Astribank unit in the port marked as “MAIN”, shown in the picture below (blue circle):
Again this will need to be performed for each of the Astribanks you are connecting to the redundant power supply.
4. Finally connect the USB end to the rear of the telephony server in any of the USB ports provided, shown in the picture below (orange circle)
Please note, your server may differ from the pictures provided above.
The Astribank can be connected to any USB port on the telephony server, but must always be connected to the port labeled as “MAIN” on the Astribank unit.
If you have multiple telephony servers be sure to distribute the Astribanks evenly between the servers.
