Using the INVADE Built-in Softphone (InPhone)

INVADE's built-in softphone (InPhone) can replace traditional hard/soft SIP phones and is designed to work seamlessly with INVADE Solution 6.0+

Note. The SIP extension for the INVADE dialler will require configuration by the Customer Support Desk. INVADE Web Portal & SIP account's credentials can be added in the User Management - section in preparation

InPhone States

When the InPhone is configured correctly and ready to receive a call it will glow bright green.


NOTE. From March 25, 2021, the InPhone will also show the current registered extension

Once the call is answered it will display incoming call details, incoming name and number and will have an option to hang up the call. To further progress the call.  you will be able to dial an extension number, use an IVR, etc with the keypad

NOTE. From March 19, 2024, the InPhone will display as a 'bar' at the foot of the browser

InPhone not working correctly

If the InPhone configuration is not correct or there is a problem with connecting to the telephony server it will glow red, see below.

NOTE. As above from March 25, 2021 the InPhone will also show current registered extension

If the browser is not set to allow microphone for the WebPortal it will display the following error.

The InPhone will 'hide' in normal operation and change colour depending on the above states.

NOTE. From March 19, 2024, the InPhone will display as a 'bar' at the foot of the browser


InPhone Connected Call Microphone Mute 

When a call is connected you can click the Green Microphone Icon to mute the microphone

When you have clicked the Green Microphone Icon it will turn Red to show the microphone is muted

When you click again the Green Microphone Icon will reappear to show the microphone is unmuted
